Now hiring: we are hiring a packaging machine operator in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will work on a production line. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills On a typical shift you will segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches; key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
