Groundworker — Moultrie County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundworker in Moultrie County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain The role involves: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
