Shuttering carpenter wanted in Mercer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Mercer County, New Jersey. The job is at a shopfitting company. Day to day you will assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish. Requirements: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Good eye for detail and a clean finish Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
