Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Tai, Rivers State. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Day to day you will watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
