Brick and block layer — Abakaliki

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Overtime paid at a premium rate.
