Vacancy available: laundry presser (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a laundry presser in Lyon County, Kentucky. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day to day you will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
