Offshore rigger wanted in Manistee County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Manistee County, Michigan. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; read lift plans and method statements before starting; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
