Day to day you will weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease. Ideal candidate: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
