Formwork carpenter — DuPage County

Join our team: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in DuPage County, Illinois. You will work on a metro and tunnel project. The role involves: • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement Ideal candidate: • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
