Vacancy available: ironing operator (Kano State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an ironing operator in Warawa, Kano State. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Give each garment a final press before packing • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Six days a week, one day off.
