Ladle pourer — Lincoln Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Full-time with occasional weekends.
