Sand plant operator • Scioto County, Ohio

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Scioto County, Ohio. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Part-time with flexible hours.
