Join our team: we are hiring a meat cutter in Ward County, Texas. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • 2+ years experience working as a butcher You will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
