Urgent requirement: blocklayer (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Performance bonus on top of base pay.
