Brick mason — Madison County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick mason in Madison County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Rotating shifts.
