Lathe operator — Guilford County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lathe operator in Guilford County, North Carolina. The job is at a busy manufacturing plant. On a typical shift you will monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges. Ideal candidate: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage Part-time with flexible hours.
