Overlocker operator wanted in Portsmouth

Now hiring: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Portsmouth, England. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Six days a week, one day off.
