We are recruiting: power float operator (Tennessee)

Join our team: we are hiring a power float operator in DeKalb County, Tennessee. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. Your main tasks: • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
