Join our team: we are hiring a cake decorator in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. On the job you will handle: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Score the top of loaves before baking • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer You should have: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
