Foundry worker wanted in Highland

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Highland, Scotland. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. £2,850 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
