Lift mechanic — Cedar County

Join our team: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Cedar County, Iowa. The job is at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. The role involves: • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards 5+ years on the tools preferred.
