Lawn care technician — Saint Landry Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a lawn care technician in Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a botanical garden. On the job you will handle: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads What we are looking for: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Six days a week, one day off.
