The role involves cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Pay around $4,000 per month, based on your experience.
