Requirements: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Day-to-day duties: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
