Fusing press operator — Jefferson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Jefferson County, Alabama. You will work at a garment factory. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
