Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Wabash County, Illinois. The job is at a shopfitting company. The role involves: • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish Ideal candidate: • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
