Blocklayer — Bartow County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Bartow County, Georgia. You will work on a commercial construction site. On a typical shift you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
