Shakeout operator • Doddridge County, West Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Doddridge County, West Virginia. You will work on the moulding line. You will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Full-time with occasional weekends.
