Great opportunity: power float operator (Niger State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a power float operator in Mariga, Niger State. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Day-to-day duties: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
