Join our team: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in City of Norton, Virginia. You will work at a plant hire yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures The role involves: • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
