Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Dillingham Census Area, Alaska. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding 1+ years on the tools preferred.
