Foundry labourer wanted in Multnomah County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Multnomah County, Oregon. Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $23 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
