We are recruiting: blocklayer (Texas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Fisher County, Texas. You will work on a commercial construction site. Day to day you will raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
