Sand plant operator — Hidalgo County

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. On the job you will handle: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
