Gas meter installer — Cherokee County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Cherokee County, Alabama. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. On a typical shift you will check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge. Requirements: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
