Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Westmoreland County, Virginia. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
