Meat cutter — Mercer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat cutter in Mercer County, Kentucky. The job is at a halal meat counter. The role involves: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Season and marinate meat on request What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
