Furnace operator — Dorchester County

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Dorchester County, Maryland. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Full-time with occasional weekends.
