Site carpenter — Lafayette County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a site carpenter in Lafayette County, Mississippi. You should have: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height The role involves: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
