Urgent requirement: we are hiring a moulder in Woodson County, Kansas. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles.
