Slinger signaller — Early County

Now hiring: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Early County, Georgia. The job is at a container port. Day to day you will fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
