Safety officer — Kirklees

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Kirklees, England. The job is at a busy construction site. The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) You should have: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Rotating shifts.
