Vacancy available: panel welder (Ohio)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a panel welder in Hancock County, Ohio. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Your main tasks: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Full-time with occasional weekends.
