Blocklayer • Orange County, Indiana

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Orange County, Indiana. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Contact us to fix an interview.
