Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Bond County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day to day you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
