Stainless steel welder — Kittitas County

Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Kittitas County, Washington. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection 6+ years on the tools preferred.
