Lathe programmer-operator — Southampton County

Join our team: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Southampton County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges The role involves: • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
