Flatlock machine operator — Lancaster County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Day-to-day duties: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Rotating shifts.
