Bakery assistant — East Lothian

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bakery assistant in East Lothian, Scotland. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. The role involves: • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them You should have: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Pay around £2,550 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
