We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Ballard County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
